Ocean Bank Convocation Center is on FIU's Modesto Maidique Campus. FIU's official commencement FAQ gives the venue address as 1180 SW 113th Avenue, Miami, FL 33174. Use the venue destination rather than assuming a general university mailing address identifies your entrance. Official location.

For an athletic event, start with the relevant FIU team schedule and FIUTickets.com. Confirm the sport, opponent, start time and ticket description. A basketball seating layout should not be assumed to describe a volleyball event, a graduation ceremony or another rental event.

The arena's official athletic policy page permits a clear bag up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, or a clutch up to 6.5 × 4.5 inches, and describes medical-item exceptions. It prohibits outside food/drink and lists additional restrictions. Review the complete policy shortly before attending. Official arena entry policy.

Our advice: ask the ticket office about accessible seating and the entrance route before purchasing when stairs or walking distance matter to your party. For dining, check a restaurant's actual menu, hours and route to the campus rather than treating all of “Miami” as nearby. Leave time to navigate campus and locate the correct entrance.

Editor gaps: athletic-event parking source and exact parking charge/registration; accessible seats/doors and assistance contact; sport-specific seat maps; direct confirmation of basketball versus volleyball ticket arrangements. Commencement parking/admission must not be imported into sports copy. FIU facility page https://fiusports.com/sports/2014/6/19/GEN_0619142140.aspx located but full retrieval failed.
